Teriyaki Baked Salmon

Ingredients:
1 tablespoon of cornstarch
1/4 cup of soy sauce
1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
1/2 teaspoon of ground ginger
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
2 tablespoons of honey
2 salmon filets

Directions:
In a small bowl, whisk together the cornstarch and 1/4 cup water and set aside.

In a small saucepan over medium heat, add the soy sauce, brown sugar, ginger, garlic powder, honey and 1 cup of water: Bring to a simmer.

Stir in the cornstarch mixture until thickened enough to coat the back of your spoon, about 2 minutes. Let cool to room temperature.

In gallon size baggie or bowl combine the teriyaki marinade and salmon filets; marinate for 30 minutes, turning the filets occasionally.

Preheat oven to 400 fahrenheit. Lightly coat baking dish with nonstick spray.

Place salmon filets along with the marinade onto the prepared dish and bake until fish flakes easily with fork, about 20 minutes.

* You can add sesame seeds and chopped onion on top if you like.
